Mark S. Hoffman, CPA, CPCM is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). Mark has over forty years of practical experience in accounting, compliance, and project management for commercial enterprises and not-for-profit organizations involved in US Government programs. His areas of expertise include procurement regulations, cost/price proposals, cost accounting, contract administration, and compliance strategies.
Mr. Hoffman is an independent consultant specializing in professional training activities and business consulting services in his areas of expertise. Mark works with not for profit organizations and commercial contractors both domestically (US) and internationally.
Mark was a co-founder of CostTrend Consulting, Inc., which specializes in helping organizations adapt their pricing strategies and business systems to satisfy US Government procurement regulations.
Mark has held a number of mid-level and senior positions at government contractors, including CFO, Controller, Proposal Manager, Project Manager, Payroll Manager, Pricing Analyst, and Contracts Administrator. He has been a management consultant for over twenty years, including ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, with over four years world-wide as a Non-Federal Auditor leading field audits for the USAID Office of the Inspector General.
As a frequent continuing education instructor, Mark has taught a wide range of courses for the National Contract Management Association, Institute of Management Accountants, Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Society of CPAs, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, and other organizations. Mark sits on the Board of Directors of School To School International, which is dedicated to improvements in primary education globally.
