Why SustainAbility Solutions?

Compliance is critical to receiving ‘clean’ audits and sustaining funding. We have over 40 years of experience in helping clients do that, and we can help you too.

SustainAbility Solutions (SS) is a professional services firm that specializes in helping its clients – NGOs, implementing partners and auditors – to understand the complexities of the U.S. donor-funded environment

We teach the government’s regulatory environment (2 CFR 200 or 45 CFR 75) and the “Yellow Book’’/U.S. Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards – in order for our clients to sustain their funding and achieve compliant audits.

For NGOs and implementing partners, SS brings 40+ years of on-the-ground experience of assisting hundreds of grant recipients and contractors to ensure that, as recipients of U.S. Government funds, they fully understand the rules of their awards/contracts – so that they can be fully compliant and receive a “clean” audit.

For auditors, SS offers the most up-to-date interpretation of U.S. GAGAS or the “Yellow Book”,especially for USAID and HHS/CDC-recipient clients, through continual communication with USG officials at Missions across the world, Washington D.C., and Atlanta.

SS is one of the only firms working in Africa that has the AICPA/U.S. Government Peer Review. This means that we issue our audit reports without limitations or exceptions.

“I was really impressed how SSA was able to tailor a course to the specific USG agency grants management regulations and needs of our new implementing partners and include hands-on exercises and practical exams which will help enforce the many learning points. Our partners should now have the knowledge and confidence to successfully implement their programs which will ensure that grants management capacity is enhanced and sustained locally.

“The Yellowbook course that Sustainability Solutions offers is the only one where clients and auditors are trained within the same rules so that all are working off the same page. It’s certainly informative and allows auditor and recipient to be aware of the current allowable expenditures that the US Government accepts as well as keeping the auditor up to date with Yellowbook standards.”
